Welcome and Updates

Travis Reiman Assistant Superintendent for Academic Services will kick off the event with a welcome message and Lindsay Garcia Executive Director of Schools and Arcema Tovar Director of the K-12 Multilingual Program will provide an update on the HSD Dual Language Program.

7. Tema de la sesión: EL DESARROLLO DEL IDIOMA INGLÉS Y LA EDUCACIÓN MULTILINGÜE 

Descripción: ¿Sabía que el programa del desarrollo del idioma inglés es parte de una educación multilingüe? La intención del programa es de apoyar a los estudiantes en su aprendizaje del inglés y en su desarrollo de destrezas útiles para que tengan éxito académico y personal. ¿Le gustaría saber un poco más sobre los servicios del programa del desarrollo del inglés a nivel de preparatoria? Sin importar, si su estudiante es nuevo al programa o ha estado en el programa por varios años o solo quiere aprender más, por favor, acompáñenos en esta sesión y así, ¡juntos podemos colaborar para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes!

7. Session Topic: ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT AND MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION 

Description: Did you know that the English Learner Program is part of a multilingual education? The intent of the program is to support students in learning English and developing useful skills for academic and personal success. Would you like to know a little more about the program services at the high school level? Whether your student is new to the program, has been in the program for several years, or you just want to learn more, please join us for this session, so together we can collaborate to support our students!

Este es el evento de cierre diseñado para escuchar de los educadores, estudiantes y otros padres que son parte del Programa de Lenguaje Dual de HSD y hacer preguntas directamente. Únase para aprender más consejos sobre cómo apoyar a sus estudiantes ya sea como padres o adultos bilingües, monolingües o multilingües.

This is the closing event designed for families to hear from educators, students and other parents who are part of the HSD Dual Language Program and also ask questions directly. Please join us to learn more tips on how to support your PreK-12 DL students as a bilingual, monolingual or multilingual parent or caring adult.
