Volunteers are a very important part of the culture of Southwood School. To become a volunteer, one must complete a Child Abuse Registry check. A Child Abuse Registry check is good for 5 years so you will only have to complete it once for your childs Southwood career.

We suggest that everyone complete one, even if it is just for one field trip. Volunteers are only allowed into the classroom once the Child Abuse Registry is complete so please make sure to get it done as soon as possible.

Volunteering can also be for our Parent Advisory Council.

Due to school being shut down at this time, we are unable to accept Child Abuse Registry checks. Once we are open again, we will take them in. At that time, we ask that you come to school to fill in the forms. Please make sure to bring the two forms of ID.
