To finish up the school year, we will be completing a series of simple machine mini-projects! Over the course of this week, we will cover lever and inclined planes, pulleys, wheel and axles, and wedge screws. 

• Science knowledge is based upon logical and conceptual connections between evidence and explanations. (Grades 6 - 8) 

• All positions of objects and the directions of forces and motions must be described in an arbitrarily chosen reference frame and arbitrarily chosen units of size. In order to share information with other people, these choices must also be shared. (Grades 6 - 8) 

• Use mathematical representations to describe and/or support scientific conclusions and design solutions. (Grades 6 - 8)
