Counseling Dept. Newsletter - January 2026

Happy New Year! The start of 2026 is a busy time for our students and Counseling Department.  There are several happenings that we want to make you aware of throughout the month of January and into February/March.

Counselors have already started junior meetings. In these meetings, counselors talk with juniors about their course selections for their senior year, discuss post high school plans and set educational development goals; career, academic and personal. An audit will be shared with your student before the meeting and we have already posted the junior meeting notes/slides in their Google Classroom.  

Here is a timeline for registration. Meetings with sophomores will be the week of February 2, and the meetings with freshmen will be the week of February 12. We will share the notes and slides for those meetings in our February newsletter. See the course guide for all of our offerings and course descriptions. All students must be registered in Powerschool for their 26-27 school year courses by March 2.
