Counseling Dept. Newsletter - September 2026

Welcome back!  We are excited that the '26/'27 school year is underway and wanted to communicate a few updates with you regarding the start of the year.

Students are settling in and schedules are set for Trimester 1. Thank you for your patience with our team; the start of the year is a heavy lift.

We would like to make you aware of our department's caseloads. The following alpha breakdown will be as follows:

We have a department website with all kinds of information from the course guide to scholarship information. Here is the link.  

Parents or Guardians of a Senior: Information was shared with Seniors in their school counselor's Google Classroom regarding the college application process and how transcripts are sent in early August. An email with the same information was sent to you with more details. 

A Senior audit will be mailed home to you next week showing where your student stands toward graduation. Lastly, we will be meeting with every Senior to discuss their post high school plans, assist with college applications, etc. 

We have several college visits planned by our FAFSA Coordinators as well as preliminary information regarding the FAFSA. See their newsletter for details.
