Counseling Dept. Newsletter - April 2026

It’s a busy time in the Counseling Department upon our return from Spring Break!

In addition to the April testing season, we have several offerings and celebrations over the next few weeks.

Seniors:

Decision Day will be celebrated on April 29. Seniors will have the opportunity to join the Counseling Department, admin team and FAFSA Coordinators during their lunch for Pronto Pups & Costco cake. If seniors want their decision (employment, military, undergraduate institution or certificate bound) shared on our slides throughout the building, they need to share their post high school plans on Instagram @hudsonvilledecisions2026.  

Senior surveys were shared, with all seniors, on 4/20. This is a form that every graduate is required to fill out for our state reporting. The survey was shared in their senior Google classroom as well via email from kterpstr@hpseagles.net

If your senior is planning to attend a post-secondary institution, they will be directed to send a final transcript to that institution.  Directions for final transcript requests will be shared, by the Counseling Department, in the coming week. Seniors need to keep an eye on their email and Google classroom for this information. 

The FAFSA Coordinators are also hosting a session with GRCC for students that plan to attend on April 23, from 9:30-10:30. See the flyer for information. 

Acceptance Day for Juniors & Seniors attending Tech Center - Acceptance Day at CTC will be either May 19, or 21, for students that have a confirmed spot. We will be sharing more details as we receive them from the Tech Center. 

Testing Out- If your student is interested in testing out of a course over the summer, they need to be signed up by May 4 on the district’s Community Education website.
