Texas Bluebonnet Award

The TBA program’s goal is to encourage reading for pleasure. Titles are chosen for both quality and appeal to children. All 3rd and 4th graders are eligible for the Bluebonnet Reading Program. This program allows UP students to join students statewide to vote for the winner of the Texas Bluebonnet Award. To be eligible, students must read a minimum of five of the nominated books for that year. In January/February, all eligible students come to the library for donuts and a Bluebonnet Voting Party. The library has multiple copies of each book.
