HYDE PARK — Roosevelt picked up its first Section 9 gymnastics win of the season Thursday with a 144.25-122.7 decision over Rondout Valley High.

Alyssa Zuna and Katie Filiberti paced the (1-1) Presidents.

Zuna, first all-around with 31.4 points, won the uneven bars (8.2), vault (8.35) and balance beam (8.35). Filiberti, second all-around (30.40), tied for first place in the floor exercise with Rondout’s Taylor Harms.

Molly Schiffer also had a solid outing for Roosevelt, finishing second on the beam and floor and third all-around.

The Presidents are back in action Dec. 29 when they face both Rondout and Kingston in a triangular meet at Excel Gymnastics.

Alyssa Zuna won the all-around title as the gymnastics team from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School beat visiting Wallkill 150.9-141.65 on Thursday.

Zuna's 34.55 all-around title included victories on the uneven bars(8.7) and balance beam (8.7)

She placed second in the vault and floor exercise. Molly Schiffer(31.6) took third place in the all-around for Roosevelt (4-2) which also got a fourth-place showing from Katie Filiberti (31.45)
