This resource integrates Indigenous stories, music, beading and current issues with experiential mathematical learning and connections to Catholic values. It provides educators with an opportunity to hear our call to action and to therefore make a difference in the minds and hearts of our students, in our Indigenous peoples, which will ultimately impact the future of our country.

Water Inquiry
This inquiry-based, water-focused lesson integrates mathematics, environmental science, geography, Indigenous rights, language arts and social justice issues. It was designed to model how inquiry might look in the junior and intermediate grades. It is also an example of how to use mathematics to explore issues of social justice.
