Today your group will film a short video using a hand held camcorder. First, you must know your group, which I will share with you the members before you start. Next, you will make a short video where a member of your group reads the script into the camera. Finally, you will go to the door that is your shooting location and film the following scene:
Our group is about to film. Here is the script: A person is about to open a door. The person hears a sound and becomes mildly concerned. The person finds the door locked and searches for their keys, or the way in which the door needs to be opened or unlocked. The person hears the sound and becomes mildly apprehensive. As the filmmaker, your goal is to build tension and growing panic, using any visual element or device that you can think of.
This film should have the following characteristics:-Neither the character nor the audience ever sees the source of the sound.-The film can have only one actor.-The film may not exceed 90 seconds.-The entire film must take place within five feet of either side of the door.-You must assemble the shots "in camera" as you go along, without using editing equipment. You can use Wevideo to put the clips together, but no editing or post production will be allowed.
You should share your work here by attaching the file to the Schoology Assignment and at the Flipgrid topic area. The link has been attached below. Use an iMac to upload the file to your Google Drive so you have a copy and share it with all your group members. From there one member can use the paperclip button on this assignment to add your video. The same member, or a different member can attach the file to the flipgrid site.
