Fulfills MMC graduation requirement toward math-related experience for students currently in their senior year. This class acquaints students with a basic understanding of marketing and distribution. It will familiarize students with marketing principles concerning such areas as planning and development of a product, price determination, promotion, and selling. This class deals with salesmanship, which will provide students with information, and techniques that apply to all sales areas with particular emphasis on retail sales. This class must be taken before Marketing II.

This course requires an application, pick-up in the Counseling Office. Prerequisite: C or higher in Marketing and Management (1515) and Application Fulfills MMC graduation requirement toward math-related experience for students currently in their senior year. The student will be exposed to additional areas of Marketing, and eventually work in and operate the school store “The Kilt Shack”. There are many outside assignments. It is hoped that through the class work the students will find assignments practical and fun. You will be expected to work the school store before school as well as during lunches. This will be done on a rotation basis. Students may receive up to 16 college credits for completing both Marketing I and Marketing II through Articulation agreements with various colleges and universities.
