This TEA landing page provides information and resources for stakeholders to support the implementation of various HB 1605 initiatives.
This site has been established by TEA for all districts to reference for information regarding the new Middle School Advanced Math Program to begin implementation for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
At the November 2024 SBOE meeting, the SBOE discussed the two models the middle school advanced mathematics TEKS review work group developed. The SBOE directed the work group to select the second model and complete final recommendation. The work group convened in December 2024 to review the feedback and finalize their recommendations for the selected model.
The SBOE is scheduled to consider the proposed TEKS for middle school advanced mathematics for first reading and filing authorization at its January 2025 meeting. To view work group final recommendations, click on the item to download the PDF.
