I am originally from Houston HTOWN!! and attended Longfellow Elem, Pershing MS, and Bellaire HS (9th grade), I then moved to Torrance, CA and attended West HS. I received my BA in Psychology from Cal State Univ, Dominguez Hills (Go Toros!) and my M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction as well as teaching certifications in World History, U.S. History, Texas History, Psycholgy and Sociology from Univ of Houston (Go Coogs!)
I started teaching middle school social studies in 1998 and have been at Lanier since 2018. Interesting fact: from 2004-2014 I was a lactation consultant at The Woman's Hospital of Texas
I am a married mother of 3. Nicholas is a grad of Energy HS, is currently attending Houston Community College, and will soon transfer to Univ of Houston to study History and English. Sasha is a Lamar HS grad, is currently a sophomore at Campbell University in North Carolina and is a NCAA D1 Lacrosse player. Ava is a Lanier MS grad, and is currently a freshman at Bellaire HS.
