Guitar Instrument Fee* for the 25-26 school year is $10 per year, which is due during instrument check out**.
Options to pay the fee with cash or pack of guitar nylon strings is available.
*Please Note: Students who fail to provide nylon strings or the guitar fee may be placed on alternate written assignments or parents may request a schedule change pending principal approval.
**Due to limited instruments, students may share the same instrument. The Fee is used to purchase nylon strings for maintenance.
How do I get an instrument?
There are a few ways to obtain an instrument:
1-Use a personal instrument.
2-Buy or Rent from a local music store.
3-Rent a School Owned Instrument (Fee* Required).
*Fees for musical instruments are collected under HISD Board Policy FP2 (Regulation).
