We were delighted to see so many pupils taking part in the Ealing Active Travel Challenge from 18–22 May.
A huge thank you to all parents and carers for continuously encouraging active travel by walking, scooting or cycling to school. Pupils have been enthusiastically ticking off their bookmarks each day and were excited to receive their Terri the Tiger stickers as a reward for their efforts.
Your support is helping to promote healthy habits, independence and a greener environment for everyone.
Layla D in 6S proudly represented the mascot team at the Emirates FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City on 16 May 2026 at Wembley Stadium. As you can see from the photo she also had the opportunity to meet Prince William. Well done Layla!
Would you like to know what really happens at Art School?
University of the Arts London are running some free half term workshops for 8-12 year olds in White City - all around art, creativity and design.
It's a series of fun, hands-on workshops designed to spark creativity and curiosity in children.
Across the week, children will explore different areas of art and design including drawing, fashion, architecture and more. Led by UAL School of Pre-degree Studies tutors, each session introduces how artists and designers experiment with ideas and materials to create original work.
All workshops are free, and sign up is via the Eventbrite link below.
Holiday Survival Guide
Breaks from school can actually feel quite stressful for children, as their regular schedules and routines are disrupted. As we head into half term break, I thought it would be helpful to share these tips once again, to help you minimise the tears and maximise the joy at home.
How can parents and carers help?
As always with parenting, it is most important to look after yourself first. Make sure your own cup is full so you can stay calm. You can also let them know in advance what they will be doing over the holiday and remind them again every morning the plans for that day. Many children will also do better if you keep to some routine and schedule every day, to offer them some predictability. If you can, always include some outdoor or physical activity every day as it helps them to stay regulated. Finally, remember to do less and connect more!
Join the Thames Path Challenge - Sign up Now!
Parents, carers and school staff are warmly invited to take part in the Thames Path Challenge this September to raise vital funds for Schools Counselling Partnership (SCP).
Choose your challenge and take part your way — walk, jog or run:
25km / 50km / 100km
Every step will help raise essential funds so SCP can continue providing counselling support for children and young people in schools.
Why we need your support
Children and young people are facing growing emotional pressures. Across England:
Around 1 in 5 pupils are now identified as having SEND needs.
Over 638,000 children currently have an EHCP, with numbers continuing to rise each year.
Increasing numbers of children are accessing mental health services for anxiety, low mood, trauma and emotional distress.
Many children receive their first professional emotional support through counselling provided in school.
SCP supports children, young people, parents/carers and teaching staff in school, helping them manage anxiety, bereavement, family change, friendship difficulties and other challenges that can affect wellbeing and learning.
Sometimes we could all do with someone to talk to.
If you would like to meet Araminta for a confidential and non-judgemental chat about you, your child, or any other worries, she is available on Thursday 9-10am. You can call/text Araminta on 07368-365723
or email her at araminta@schoolscounsellingpartnership.co.uk
With so many sporting events, Vision Awards, trips and workshops, you have all worked so hard on your ahcievements as we end Summer 1. Well done to all the Houses for their efforts. We look forward to the final push of Summer 2.

Keep up the good work
As we come to the end of another busy and successful half term, we would like to thank all families for their continued support with attendance and punctuality. Every school day counts, and regular attendance and good punctuality helps children to build confidence, maintain friendships and make the most of every learning opportunity.
