nice black dress pants (not black jeans) with black belt if needed
black socks (if wearing socks) and black dress shoes (no gym shoes)

Those who already have the polo do not need to purchase another one unless it no longer fits.

Band T-Shirt

The band t-shirt is optional for many students, but some students enjoy having one. Seventh- and eighth-grade students will need a band t-shirt if they are participating in these events:

Purchasing on MyPaymentsPlus

Our OBMS music (band) polo shirt can be purchased on mypaymentsplus.com or through a student's band fundraising account if the student has fundraised. If fundraising money is going to be used, the student or parent needs to email Ms. Gasque; this cannot be submitted on MyPaymentsPlus.

Picking a Size

At these links, you can find size charts for our youth, adult female, and adult male polo shirts. This will help with picking a size when ordering on MyPaymentsPlus. I also allow students to try on the shirts to see what fits best.

I have not heard any parents or students mention that the shirts shrink, and I have not experienced that with my own shirt; however, I do encourage students to "allow room to grow" since we definitely will wear these all year and likely in the rest of the middle school band years.

If parents/guardians choose a size online and then we realize that shirt does not fit correctly, we can trade out any unused shirt for another size. I want students to feel good about the shirt they are wearing. I try to keep extra shirts of each size on hand so that we have the flexibility to accommodate all.
