Seesaw is an app that is a digital portfolio of your child's learning journey.
Please download the Family Seesaw app and follow the instructions to be able to see your child's portfolio (QR code available from the teacher). Up to 10 family members can be attached to one child.
This is a great way to interact with your child and know what they are learning at school. Please leave comments and revisit learning with your child at home! This encourages oral language and develops their understanding of what they have been participating in at school.
There will also be a class blog with general updates and descriptions about what is going on in our wonderful classroom.
Any questions or you need some help setting it up please don't hesitate to ask.

I have been working at Hornby Primary since 2010 and before this, I taught in two other schools. I am excited to be returning to teaching in the junior school. and working in Manu Tukutuku.. I am also the Deputy Principal and in charge of Learning and Behaviour Support, also known as SENCo.
I live with my husband, four year old son, two dogs and a turtle. In my spare time I enjoy reading, art and being creative, being outside tending to our garden and spending time with my family.
I am looking forward to a fabulous year getting to know you all and watching the children grow in their learning and development.

I am looking forward to teaching in Room 1 this year with Mrs Mclachlan.
This is my 16th year at Hornby Primary School - wow, how time flies! . . . and I would not want to be anywhere else.
I will be teaching in Room 1 every afternoon and in the morning when Mrs Mclachlan is out for her DP duties. I will be working with our lovely ESOL students (with English as a second language) at other times.
I enjoy hiking, Scottish Country Dancing and spending time with my family and friends.
I’m looking forward to seeing the children and getting to know their families. Please pop in for a chat or if you have any questions or concerns.
