Week 1

Weekly Blog Provocation

This term we are going to continue with our weekly blog provocation.

There is no right or wrong answer. What is important is to share a reason for your thoughts.

I am going to encourage you to take an opportunity to disagree with other's ideas. Don't forget you would only be disagreeing with a person ideas, not the person themselves. You may also find that sometimes you may only disagree with part of the person's point of view or can see apart from another point of view.

  1. Click here to check out this weeks provocation on our class blog

  2. Think about your opinion

  3. Share your opinion with your talk buddy

  4. Group A - write your opinion in the comment section of the blog post

  5. Group B - do you agree or disagree with any of the comments? If you disagree, use one of the sentence starters to help you share your opinion.

Writing with the senses

W.A.L.T use our senses to add detail to our writing

Remember earlier in the year when we learnt about show, don't tell? We are going to practice this again by using our 5 senses to give our reader a picture in their head.

Make a copy of this brainstorm template and save it in your writing folder. We are going to use this template to describe a mystery object!
