All three classes are on this document. This outline might get changed because of Covid. However, it will change on the document so you will see it.
At the end of term four, we send your parent's reports. The criteria are:
1) Understanding, communicating and interpreting what you know about Art - how well is your blog maintained in Art?
2) Practising skills to show you know how to make Art works happen - Can you show me you have tried hard, and put effort into each task?
3) Developing your art ideas based on 1) and 2) at the same time as including our own original ideas. Because we don't just appear from nowhere, we walk forward while we look back; Ka Mua, Ka muri.

How do we create depth and shadows and texure in paintings?

1) Your techniques page should feature four quadrants (quarter sections) that have a base colour and a technique over top

glazing
Scrafitto or dripping paint
2) Your painting to demonstrate these techniques is a bit prescriptive - a curtain, a plant form, a mountain line and a tree line. There are lots of examples around the classroom already if you want inspiration.
You now need to complete this piece demonstrating EVERY technique we tried in the first exercise.
Success means:
you got your work out and got working quickly and maturely
you kept your work space tidy
you completed a solid amount of work without being too distracted
you cleaned up after yourself.
