You request them! The HHS Counseling Department is a busy place, especially in the fall, we rely on the Transcript Request Form to know where you are applying and when transcripts and other materials need to be sent by. In order to ensure materials get submitted on time, you need to be sure to turn in your Transcript Request Form 3-4 weeks before your earliest deadline. A hard copy of this form is available in the Counseling Office, or can be downloaded here.
Most colleges utilize what is called a "holistic" review process, which means you are more than your transcript! While that is always going to be the most important piece of the puzzle - you are pursuing higher education after all - colleges want and need to know more about you and your story. Supporting materials may include:
A High School Profile (check out the HHS School Profile here) - this provides some context around your high school experience.
A School Report - this provides more specific data about the student and the school - like class size, passing grade, GPA, etc.
Standardized Test Scores - check out the College Admissions Testing page for more info.
Letters of Recommendations from a school counselor and/or teacher(s)
... and, of course, your application! This is where colleges learn about you - from demographics and courses taken to a list of activities you've been involved
