Ability to swim unaided and to complete rudimentary sets (i.e. 10 x 50 yd @ 1:00). Previous synchronized swimming experience is not required and first time syncronized swimmers are welcomed and encouraged to join!
Practices and meets are required. Attendance is mandatory - including during spring break and other holidays during the season. Athletes must be able to swim the entire season. Synchro routines are highly dependent on working together and demand consisent repetitions with the whole team.
Athletes need the following items: suit, towel, goggles, nosies (nose plugs), and a water bottle. Athletes will purchase their own competition suits prior to or during the beginning of the season.
Registration fee (250?). Equipment and suits (estimate). Booster fee (50?). Banquet (?). Fee reduction and support (Hopkins School District/Aquatics?) for free or reduced lunch eligible athletes?
Team dinners. Meet support/volunteering. Hair gelling. Support/join Hopkins Aquatics Club, optional.
Hopkins Synchro has a Swim Outlet store where the team receives a percentage of all sales.
