Are you a homebody or do you like going out? You should always support businesses that are local to you because they help the community go-round. Patty’s Pub is a small business in downtown Hopewell worth supporting because it is locally owned, has affordable and delicious food, and an impressive bar for older customers.
The Pub is worth supporting because it is locally owned. Small businesses in Hopewell come and go, so it’s important to support the ones who deserve it. The owners live in Hopewell and give back to the community by supporting and shopping at local stores. They use local grocery stores and sell locally supplied products in the restaurant. From the utensils in the kitchen to the napkins on the tables, most of their products are from local stores. They also shop in Hopewell. I had a conversation with one of the employees and she said, ¨Big Lots and Food Lion helps a lot.”
Another reason to support this local Pub is because of the delicious food. I’ve always enjoyed my dining experiences there. Paddy´s has an impressive variety of homemade food. From the Irish egg rolls to the crispy chicken sandwich, you will feel your mouth watering just ready to bite in. One of the bestsellers is the ¨Pot-o-gold¨ fritters (made of fried potato with cheese, crispy bacon, and chives) and ¨Bangers & Mash¨ (made with Irish sausage ground in the restaurant with their own blend of spices on a bed of mash potatoes and light brown gravy).
Those 21 and up should consider visiting Paddy’s because it has a beautiful side-tap bar with many mixed drinks, cocktails, and draft beers. If you like something fruity, Paddy’s has Blue Hawaiian, Fuzzy Navel, and Irish Kiss drinks. If you are on a night out watching the game with the boys, the Pub also has Miller Lite, Angry Orchard, and Modelo. It’s a great bar to enjoy from 11 A.M. to 10 P.M.
Come dine in at Paddy’s Pub, 239 E Broadway Ave, Hopewell VA. Treat yourself to a refreshing drink and some delicious food for all at affordable prices. The Pub is open from 11 A.M. to 10 P.M. on most days but closed on Mondays. Enjoy the nice community of people and the night watching the game with some friends or family. It doesn’t have to be far for it to be enjoyable.

Have you ever wanted homestyle food but didn't want to go through the trouble of cooking it yourself? Almost every bar has the typical burger and some other item that is their specialty, while Paddy’s has more of a specialty menu. Paddy's Pub is a bar and grill in Hopewell worth supporting because it is locally owned, that serves high-quality meals in a pleasant atmosphere.
Paddy’s is worth supporting because it is locally owned. Since 2019 they have been operating on East Broadway. The dollars that you spend there go back into the community through local taxes. Those dollars go toward taxes in the Hopewell area and supporting other small shops here because the owners spend their dollars locally too.
Another reason to dine at Paddy’s Pub is they have tasty homemade food. A Google reviewer described it as “Best food and drinks in the area. Always friendly staff and fast service.” I have tasted their Irish egg rolls for myself. They were crunchy and flavorful. I’ve also had their shepherd’s pie, which featured fluffy mashed potatoes. They offer a variety of meals Starters, sandwiches, salads, burgers. They also have main dishes including fish and chips, Irish chicken curry, bangers and mash, and more. Their brunch menu features omelets, a la carte items, and entrees such as Paddy’s Big Breakfast, the Big Breakfast Burrito, biscuits and gravy, and chicken and waffles to name a few. This range of selections means there’s something for everybody at Paddy’s.
The final reason I recommend visiting Paddy’s Irish Pub is for the environment. When you walk through the doors, you will notice clean floors and shining tables. There’s almost an old-timey atmosphere, which included dozens of happy customers before COVID. They now offer pleasant outdoor seating to provide the same great food in a safe in a beautiful Downtown environment with a white brick backdrop. Whether the food is served indoors or outdoors, you won’t regret your meal at Paddy’s.
You can find Paddy’s Pub at 239 E Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860, and their phone number is (804) 452-6454, and you can view their website is here. They are open Tuesday through Saturday at 11:00 AM. They open Sundays at 8:00 AM and are closed Mondays. Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays Paddy’s closes by 8:00 PM, but they are open until 10:00 Thursday through Saturday.
