Students were placed in groups at the start of this unit. They were visited by animal control officers who explained the importance of proper outdoor shelters and answered questions the students had about the shelter and their line of work. Each group was tasked to build a dog house to donate to be distributed at the shelter staff's discretion, and to write an article to help inform the community about topics on which Hopewell Animal Services works to educate the community. You will find links to their articles and images of the doghouses they built below.
