HCPS has partnered with John Tyler Community College (JTCC) to offer students the opportunity to earn a college Career Studies Certificate (CSC) in the trade of their choice. This is a great option for students interested in learning a specific trade or skill. Classes are offered in the morning on campus at John Tyler Community College. Students can earn a Career Studies Certificate in HVAC, Industrial Electricity, Mechanical Maintenance, Precision Machining, or Welding at the same time as earning their high school diploma. JTCC also offers an Early Childhood Education CSC.
Rising juniors and seniors interested in this option should contact their high school counselor or email Mr. Vesprey: rvespry@hopewell.k12.va.us
