DEFINITIONS:
Axis Line: An imaginary line that extends through the core of the center of a form.
Gesture Drawing: A quick spontaneous drawing capturing the energy and essence of a form. Provides all of the necessary elements of a form in a concise manner, and looks to provide both interior and exterior information.
Organizational Line: “Searching Lines” Organizational lines act as underpinnings of a drawing and are most often absorbed into the finished work. Can include axis lines indicating the major and minor directional thrusts of a form and lines indicating spatial relationships between foreground, middle ground, and background forms.
