Making Feedback Accessible to Enhance Student EngagementIn his lecture, Cathal will be exploring the challenge of providing effective feedback, a goal that well all aspire to, and work hard to achieve, but often still remains stubbornly elusive. Drawing on a variety of scholarship in this area, he will share some of the findings that offer practical advice to anyone wishing to better understand the feedback process and reach more students with the feedback they are providing. As well as drawing his own experience, all who attend the talk will be welcome to share their insights as well, helping to flesh out the theories and findings from the scholarship with your collective hard-earned practical experiences of this issue.
Hosted by: Dr Cathal O'Siochru, Principal Lecturer in Education

Join us for an inspiring lecture that challenges the conventional boundaries of education! In "The Naked Lecturer," we’ll explore the transformative power of stripping away technology to embrace the core of teaching: authentic human connection. As we navigate the complexities of learning, we’ll discuss how empathy, wisdom, and personal interactions can profoundly enhance the educational experience. Discover strategies to foster meaningful relationships with students, cultivate an engaging learning environment, and prioritize the art of conversation over the convenience of gadgets. Together, let’s celebrate the heart of teaching—humanity itself. Don’t miss this opportunity to rethink your approach and reignite your passion for education!. (Authentically and ironically written by ChatGBT).

‘H2O’ is an arts-led, community facilitation project designed to help provide access to the UK’s more than 2000 miles of waterways available for public use.
The H2O project was conceived to share and inspire people who do not currently have access to the waterways. We want to build imaginative bridges that will lead them to the water’s edge to the point where they feel able and entitled to dip their toes in the waterways.
