During your induction period your school will provide an intensive and rewarding programme of training, underpinned by the Early Career Framework. Should you require any additional support, please feel welcome to contact your subject tutors directly or the ECT team here at Hope: ECHT@hope.ac.uk. Tutors will be available during term time.
If you are seeking your first teaching post and require some guidance, there will be two career events across the year which will provide tips and advice for your application and interview. The first was held in October and you can find the recording from the event in the 'Resources from past events' section below. Further information and the date for the next event will be communicated in 2023 – keep an eye on your email!

Classroom practise
If you would like some further classroom experience to add to your CV, we can also source some voluntary and unassessed classroom practise for you. Please get in touch with the ECHT team (ECHT@hope.ac.uk) if you feel that you could benefit from this.

If you've chosen to take advantage of NASUWT's free membership during your ECT year you can access a suite of free CPD that they are running via Zoom. Details are on the NASUWT Student Hub.
Chartered College of Teaching
The Chartered College of Teaching has introduced their brand-new Early Career Hub which is an indispensable resource packed with articles, interactive content and high-quality classroom footage created by teachers and academics, aligned to the Early Career Framework and Teachers’ Standards and tailored to the needs of early career teachers.
