Google Classroom is our digital classroom.
It is designed to help us communicate and collaborate, manage assignments without paper, and stay organized.
Assignments: Assignments will be posted and announced on the stream. It is the students' responsibility to check, complete and turn in assignments on or before the due date. Late work will be counted against them.
Announcements: Daily announcements and agendas will be posted. Students will need to check them every morning before class begins.
Resources: They will have access to resources like notes, links, videos and other apps on Google Classroom.
Allow students to interact: Students will have the ability to comment on assignments and announcements, as well as e-mail each other through the Classroom interface.
Emails will be a primary source of communication.
• Students need to be familiar with their inbox.
• Students will need to check their email inbox multiple times a day.
• Students will only use their school email address when communicating with teachers and other students.
Google Drive is used to store and organize all of the students work and assignments.
Google Drive is the storage bank where the students will be storing their work.
Students will need to make sure every assignment has a name and organized in the correct folder.
Students will upload to their Google Classroom assignments from this file.
It is critical that each student understands what their Google Drive is.
Google Keep is a digital sheet of paper that students will use to show ALL of their math work.
Students are required to show their math work for credit.
Students will be provided with a stylus pen to help with their writing.
Students will be required to know how to create, save, upload and turn in an assignment.
Google Jamboards are physical interactive whiteboards.
Students will share and collaborate using these interactive whiteboards.
Students will use them for presentations.
Students will use them to show math work.
NextGen Math is used for all of your child's warm-ups and the majority of their math assessments.
This dynamic resource allows us to supplement curriculum and build rigorous Common Core assessments .
The warm-ups and assessments will be a significant part of their grade.
All work will be submitted via Google Keep for full credit.
In addition, students will check their errors and do some of the practice problems given.
Go Math! (Think Central) is a comprehensive Grade K-6 mathematics program developed to support the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
GoMath is our primary curriculum.
I will be teaching directly from the book and students will be responsible to understanding the standards aligned with Common Core.
Students will be given online components and will be responsible in completing.
Students will be given supplemental videos that correlate with the daily Live teacher instruction.
ST Math is a PreK-8 visual instructional program that leverages the brain's innate spatial-temporal reasoning ability to solve mathematical problems.
ST Math’s unique, patented approach provides students with equitable access to learning through challenging puzzles, non-routine problem solving, and informative feedback.
With ST Math, students build deep conceptual understanding, and schools see proven, repeatable results.
JiJi is the beloved penguin in the ST Math software games.
Students will be required to complete 20 minutes daily.
Go Math! (HRW) is a comprehensive Grade K-6 mathematics program developed to support the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
GoMath is our primary curriculum.
I will be teaching directly from the book and students will be responsible for understanding the standards aligned with Common Core.
Students will be given online components and will be responsible in completing.
Students will be given supplemental videos that correlate with the daily Live teacher instruction.
Khan Academy is a supplemental math program that provides EXTRA support for the student.
I will assign tutorials and assignments that correlate with the present standards.
This program is excellent for that extra support.
Students should take notes and complete the assignments for better results.
Students can retake or redo any portion of their assignments.
Stemscopes is our primary Science curriculum that is aligned with NGSS, Next Generation State Standards.
Students will be required to participate with all science labs and activities.
Nearpod is used as a supplemental resource for our Science curriculum.
Students will be required to work independently and whole class with lessons designed in this program.

Padlet is a program used for many writing assignments.
Mystery Science
Is a fun and interactive supplemental Science program.
Ed Puzzle
Is used for additional support in the form of videos and step by step applications for our math lessons.
Kahoot!
Is used as a fun way of quizzing students on their knowledge.
Parent Square is used as a primary source of communication between the teacher and parents.
All reminders will be sent via Parent Square.
