Vocabulary/Grammar Quizzes
There are two types of vocabulary-related quizzes in this class: 1) those based on the Words of the Work and 2) those based on Greek and Latin word parts (coupled with basic grammar and usage concepts). The assessments for each type count for 20 points each in the 60% category.
Words of the Work Quizzes
Our Words of the Work document provides a list of vocabulary terms pulled from each work that we will study. Near the end of the study of any given work of literature, students will be quizzed on the 20 terms for that particular work. The quiz will consist of two questions (worth ten points each) where students will complete a sentence using the appropriate word from the list (with a word bank provided).
Greek and Latin Word Part Quizzes
Throughout the year, students will be quizzed on the material below, with the quizzes being cumulative in nature. Quizzes will be 20-questions each (with each question counting for one point).
