About Mrs. Shelly

Hi! I am Shelly Johnson, the full time counselor. I have worked with students of all ages since 1996. I have been a teacher, residential counselor, agency counselor, and school counselor while working with students in kindergarten through college during my career. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, and I have a certification in child and adolescent trauma.

I love it here at Deer Valley and I am so happy to be here! While not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, visiting any beach, going to concerts and sporting events (War Eagle!), and working in my yard.
