Sarah Fu has spread her love for the fiber arts! She collaborated with the Circle of Life Knitting Circle to host an event to teach others how to knit. With some creativity and service, this project took place in February.
Sydney Lutz and Hannah McCain are worked on a pilot project to introduce composting to Hoover! They've both grown passionate about helping our wonderful environment and are making large strides right here at Hoover High School!
Claire Jun's CAS project was a way to spread news throughout the community! She worked with a group of seniors to create a newsletter for Hoover High School; this group covers a wide range of topics, ranging from domestic politics to foreign relations. Check out their website here!
Srija Vem held a voter registration drive to increase civic engagement around Hoover! She's collaborated with the Hoover City Schools Student Board to spread information about the political sphere and help people understand the impact of their votes.
Ria Shah wanted to get people educated in the political sphere, so she hosted a mock presidential election right here at Hoover High School! She collected weekly data through Google Forms leading up to the election and worked with Anna Claypoole from the law academy to display the results! They're super interesting; check them out here!
Arya Tamhane & Alivia Wagner hosted their very own tennis tournament! Arya's played on the Hoover High School tennis team and now she and Alivia are ready to spread athleticism around Hoover!
Amaan Malhotra's CAS project centered around film and student well-being. He and a friend created a very well edited documentary in which they interviewed six students on their experiences during COVID-19. Check it out to the right! We're very proud of Amaan for the uniqueness of his project! :)
