Auditions are August 18 and 19 from 3:30 - 6:00 on the PAC stage.
Auditionees only need to sign up for one five-minute time slot on either day.
Callbacks are August 20 from 3:30 - 6:00 on the PAC stage.
The cast list will be posted Friday, August 21 at 3:30 on the callboard in the fine arts hallway as well as via email to all auditionees.
Rehearsals begin Monday, August 24 from 3:30 - 6:00.
Typically, rehearsals are Mon-Thurs from 3:30 - 6:00 (more information below).
Performances are November 6 & 7 @ 7pm and November 8 @ 2pm.

All HCHS students in good academic standing may audition.
Arrive early to your audition to complete some paperwork.
To audition for the fall play, students are required to perform a 1-2 minute monologue.
In addition to your monologue, please also prepare a short story (~30 seconds) of a time when you witnessed the good in humanity and how it affected you.
Though not required, you may use a monologue from the attached list provided.
**Please Note: whatever monologue you choose for your audition, do your homework; select one that is in a similar style as It's A Wonderful Life.
Regardless of what monologue you choose for your audition, your monologue must be completely memorized.
Please bring a paper copy of your monologue to your audition.
Rehearsals and Time Commitment
Rehearsals and Time Commitment
Being involved in any production, whether in the cast or crew, is a big time commitment. Below are some things to consider before you audition:
The fall play typically rehearses Monday - Thursday from 3:30 - 5:30 and 3:30 - 6:00. However, you may not be called to attend rehearsal every day. It depends on what scene we're working on that day, if your character is involved in that scene, etc.
Our all-day rehearsal this year falls on Halloween (Saturday, October 31st). Because of this, the all-day rehearsal will take place from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. This should still allow time to enjoy the festivities and attend to any trick-or-treating responsibilities. The all-day rehearsal is absolutely required and is essential for all cast and crew members to attend.
Tech Week is November 2nd through November 5th from 6:00 - 9:00. Please prioritize your schedule so as to avoid any potential conflicts happening this week. All cast and crew members are required to attend Tech Week for the entire time.

**Hono Theatre is proud to consistently have large numbers of students audition for its productions. While we value your interest and can accommodate some scheduling conflicts, if you know that any of the above expectations will be a major conflict for you, please refrain from auditioning.**
