Dear Homer Elementary Families;
I hope you find this page helpful to support your Home Learning student. This page was made to support our Home Learning students whether full time or those students that had to move from in person to home learning. Please follow the links below to support your students' learning environment. This webpage was set up to help you navigate grade level content that you are using at home.
We are extremely grateful to our staff that have balanced the workload for both in person and home learners learning environments. Please do not hesitate to communicate specific needs and or supports for making the best of this new educational environment.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your students classroom teacher or me at dpasquerella@homercentral.org or by phone at (607) 749-1250.
Sincerely,
Douglas A. Pasquerella
Homer Elementary School Principal
Academic work will be dependent upon the grade level. Teachers will direct you regarding times to log into class, and how to access all material you will need. If necessary, your child's teacher will contact you to make you aware of any materials that will be necessary to continue your child's education, and when to pick those items up from school.
Art and Music will provide materials through SeeSaw. For PE, your child's teacher will provide you with the link to log into the GoogleMeet for PE. For Library, children should use their classroom's GoogleMeet link, as usual.
Online Learning Guidelines:
-Have an adult in close proximity to support the student with technology as necessary.
-Remain in an environment conducive to successful learning to include: a seated position free from outside distractions and noise.
-Be on time and stay the duration of the meeting.
-Stay on mute unless asked to speak.
-Raise your hand to speak.
-Do not type in chat unless it directly relates to the topic.
