Screen-Free Fun
Find a notebook or piece of paper for these activities:
- Write about your easter weekend (who you saw, what you ate, what you did). Bonus points for every adjective used in your writing.
- Shadow Drawing: On a sunny day, place a toy on a piece of paper (or even the pavement) and trace its shadow at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM. How did it change?
- Next term we will be learning about ANZAC, do some of your own research on ANZAC to share/report back to the class. Who can get the most interesting facts?
Kitchen Science - Balloon Rocket: *
You need: String, a straw, tape, and a balloon.
Action: Thread the string through the straw, tie the string between two chairs, blow up the balloon (don't tie it!), tape it to the straw, and let go!
"The Floor is Lava" Obstacle Course: Challenge - to get from one side of the lounge to the other without touching the floor, using cushions and towels - this could be fun with your siblings!
Indoor Scavenger Hunt:
Find:
Something that starts with the first letter of their name.
Something that is older than they are.
Something that is perfectly round.
Paper Plane Olympics: Research three different designs (The Dart, The Glider, The Stunt Plane). Measure which one flies the furthest using "giant steps" as a measurement.

Coding Scratch (Free) Make your own "Holiday Catch" game.
Maths Hit the Button Fast-paced mental maths (times tables/division).
