Calming Down Strategies
Here are a few of the calming down strategies we use in the classroom. You may see your child doing these and wonder, "What are they doing?" Below is a short description of each. We do them to calm our bodies when we are angry, sad or super excited!

Here is a guide to use that lists many different skills needed for Kindergarten. Feel free to work on some of these skills throughout the year to better prepare your child for the start of Kindergarten!
