5th grade ELA encompassess many aspects of Language Arts. Voyages in English is the grammar book we utilize. It covers parts of speech and sentence structure. For writing, students compose 3 baseline writings throughout the year as well as personal narratives, opinion pieces, research paper, and poetry among other topics.
Spelling Connections is the book we use in fifth grade. This book helps students learn rules of spelling and phonics in concise meaningful activities.
IXL is the online website we use to help strengthen and maintain math skills from adding to angles. Each lesson has a variety of key math concepts to keeps our skills fresh. We also use it for ELA practice.

3rd-Astronomy (planets, asteroids, sun etc...),Chemistry (Matter, Periodic Table of Elements), Physics (Physical change), Meteorology (Changes in atmosphere)
4th-Biology (characteristics of cells), Botany (examining and classifying plants), Zoology (investigating characteristics of vertebrates and invertebrates), Ecology (examining ecosystems)

Blest Are We is the series 5th grade utilizes for Religion. Topics include: sacraments, Litrugical Year ,Saints (St. John Vianny, St. Maximillan Kolbe, etc...), Rosary , parts of mass, special days of Mary and much more!
