What is the SAT test?
The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test that measures achievement in reading, mathematics, and writing. There is an option essay test. Depending on a student's testing strategy, they may take the test the spring of the junior year and the fall of their senior year. Colleges & universities use the SAT test scores as part of their admissions decision.

Testing Time: 3 hours + 50 minute (optional) essay

Number of Questions: 154
Time per question: 1 minute, 10 seconds
Score Range: Composite 400-1600 (SAT Essay: reported in 3 dimensions, each 2-8)
Test Components:
Reading Test: 65 minutes / 52 Questions
Writing and Language Test: 35 minutes / 44 questions
Math Test: 80 minutes / 58 questions
