One of the most famous Geometric Theorems is the Pythagorean Theorem. It states the sum of the squares of the two legs of a right triangle equals the square of it hypotenuse. Its baseball version is called the Pythagorean Winning Percentage and it is used to predict how well a team will do in the future based on how well they've done in the past. Typically it is used halfway through the season to predict how a team will perform for the latter half of the year. The formula is: Winning percentage = (Runs Scored)^2/[(Runs Scored^2+ (Runs Allowed)^2].
Using your teams (given in class), construct this formula in a spreadsheet and write a conclusion as to how well the formula did as a predictor of a team's second half success.
