Academic Qualification

Dr. V. Virgin Nithya Veena, Assistant Professor of English, Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Nagercoil, hails from the southern tip of Tamil Nadu. As an academician and researcher, she has fruitful experience in teaching and research in higher education. She has a very long association with her alma mater both as a student and now as a faculty. With her UG and PG programmes from the campus, she made her home coming with M.Phil from Mother Tresa University, Kodaikanal. In the long run, she cleared State Eligibility Test and got Ph.D degree. 

Her areas of specialisations are Feminist Writing, Subaltern Literature and Literary Theories

She has completed a UGC Minor Research Project and more than I5 research articles in reputed national and international journals with impact factor and UGC Care list journals. She is pursuing research as a Ph.D research guide approved by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.  She has proven her calibre as coordinator of several curricular and extracurricular activities, has created few SLOs to her credit and has completed SWAYAM MOOC course “Annual Refresher Programme In English Language Teaching”.She is a novice creative writer and compiler of an anthology, Inscape/Escape: Journey into the Interior/Exterior.
