A Little About Me
I am so excited to teach Kindergarten at Holy Cross Academy! I was raised in the North Hills in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. My husband and I grew up as neighbors and have raised three children. He is a teacher, as well. I've been a Boy Scout Leader, a Girls Scout Leader, CCD teacher, private tutor, and an amateur gardener (at best)!
I have a Bachelor's Degree from IUP in Elementary Education. My Master's degree from Duquesne University is Reading and Language Arts Specialist.
Since I began teaching in 1992 and I have taught for the Diocese of Pittsburgh for over 20 years. At St. Ursula School I taught First Grade. At Holy Sepulcher Catholic School I was a Catholic school parent and taught in grades 3rd-6th. I was a PreK- 2nd grade Learning Specialist for a few years. In my summer school teaching experience I taught grades K-12.
It is an honor and a blessing to get to teach children their faith and bring out their potential through fun projects, games, and literature activities.
Don't forget! We have a Google Form for parents to fill out for the upcoming week entitled Dismissal and Lunch Plan. It's a quick and secure way to keep me informed of your child's weekly plans. If there are any changes, please let the office and me know as soon as possible.

A Few Important Reminders:
Please send your child to school each day with a healthy morning snack.
Library books are due back to school Wednesdays.
Please label all coats, sweaters, and school supplies with your child's name.
A Special Note About School Mass:
Our Kindergarten class will begin attending School Liturgy at the end of the first semester. Each week we will walk over to the church and sit with our Prayer Partners. Students are to dress according to the Student Handbook. Our first School Liturgy date will be communicated to parents through our Classroom Newsletters. We hope you will join us!
