Call local (in-country) emergency numbers for police, ambulance, fire, etc. These numbers are provided during pre-departure sessions and can be easily found online. Students are advised to save these numbers in their contacts so they are easily accessible in case of an emergency.

Call the Holy Cross Public Safety Office at 508-793-2222: This is a 24-hour emergency number at the College of the Holy Cross. When calling public safety, students should be prepared to provide their name, academic institution abroad, telephone number where they can be reached, and describe the nature of the emergency and the student(s) involved. Public Safety will be able to contact Study Abroad staff, who will return student calls and assist.
