Maymesters
Maymesters are short term (4-6 week) faculty-lead study abroad programs. Students can earn a common area credit while traveling with and learning from Holy Cross faculty on-site across the globe. While we don't view Maymesters as an alternative to semester & year long study abroad programs, they can be a great addition to any academic path at Holy Cross. Since Maymesters fall outside of the traditional academic year, financial aid does not cover these programs, which are fully student funded.
People say that study abroad changes your life, and I have experienced that first hand. I would like to use my experience in Argentina to inspire future students and help them find their way to their next adventure.

the 'Study' in Study Abroad
Any (yes, we really mean any) major can study abroad- even double majors! The educational advantages of study abroad — and its effect on students’ personal growth — are profound. Participants develop greater levels of self-confidence and independence, grow their capacity to connect with people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs, and gain newfound perspective on their home country. Holy Cross maintains close ties with partner institutions & programs to ensure that students’ international learning experiences integrate with our curriculum. Students studying abroad advance their majors, minors, and concentrations, and continue to fulfill Holy Cross common area requirements.

Holy Cross's study abroad program spoke to me when I first visited campus as a prospective student. Now that I've actually had the opportunity to study abroad, I find myself absolutely invested in spreading the word and encouraging future students to take the leap!
