November 16th - November 20th
Friday, November 20th - TP-CASTT your poem and submit before the next class. Memorize the first six lines of your poem for next class. Keep up on your independent reading book due 12/22.
Wednesday, November 18th - Complete the Google doc for the poem selection. This is due by the start of next class. Poem needs to be memorized by 12/2 & 3. If you have not completed the 3rd Independent Reading Book Form, please do that ASAP. Keep up on your independent reading book due 12/22.
Monday, November 16th - Finish the "Where I Am From" poem. Share it with two people. One of you will share your poem with the class on Wednesday or Friday, depending on time. In the comment section of the drop box, write down who will be sharing their poem out loud.
November 9th - November 13th
Friday, November 13th - Finish your independent reading book, due 11/16.
Monday, November 9th - Reread the short story and your annotations. Independent Reading book due, 11/16.
November 2nd - November 6th
Wednesday, November 4th - Finish reading the novel through the manuscript and complete the survival guide.
Remember - Soldier Map due 11/9. Independent Reading due 11/16.
Monday, November 2nd - Read chapters 14 & 15 and work on the survival guide. Prepare for a quiz on chapters 10 - 15 next class.

Friday, October 30th - Read chapters 12 & 13 and work on the survival guide. Remember - Soldier Map due 11/9. Independent Reading due 11/16.

October 19th - October 23rd
Friday, October 23 - Read chapters 8 and 9 and work on the survival guide, map and profiles. Read your independent reading book, it is due 11/16 (I have extended it). Quiz next class, chapters 5 -9
Monday, October 19th - Read chapter 6 and 7 and work on the survival guide. Decide on your next independent reading book and begin reading. The next one is due on 11/16 (I have extended it).
October 12th - October 16th
Friday, October 16th - 10/16 - Homework - Read chapter 5 and work on the survival guide. Make a copy Guest profiles pdf. Since the guest profiles sheet is a PDF, create your own graphic organizer in a Google Doc or slide, for next class. Decide on your next independent reading book.
Monday, October 12th - Homework - Read chapter 3 and work on the survival guide. Begin looking for and deciding on the next independent reading book. Our whole group discussion on the independent reading book 1 will be on Friday.
Remember on Wednesday it is all virtual. Freshman do not come to school and no one meets on the Google Meet. I will post work at 7:30 am for you for the day.
October 5th - October 9th
Monday, October 5th - Finish the WebQuest. Remember, keep up on your independent reading. You work is due 10/12
Wednesday, October 7th - Read chapter one and work on the survival packet. Remember, keep up on your independent reading. You work is due 10/12.
Friday, October 9th - Read chapter two and work on the survival packet. Our first Major Assessment will be next class! Remember, keep up on your independent reading. The Independent Book Chart is due before class begins on Monday. We will have our group discussion on Friday the 16th.
September 29th - October 2nd
Homework - October 2nd - Please review this slideshow Background and Characters,1939, and vocabulary words. Remember keep up on your independent reading. You work is due 10/12
September 21st - September 25th
Friday, September 25th - Please complete all the tasks on the narrative task card, that you did not complete in class. Please complete the Newsela Diagnostic. Please have your independent reading book for Tuesday.
Monday, September 21st Homework - Select your book of the month. Make sure you are able to have the book either digitally or physically by Friday!
September 14th - September 18th
Summer Reading due Friday September 18th for all classes
Monday, September 14th - Homework - Fill out your contract, take a picture of it and put it in the dropbox before class begins on Wednesday. Also, complete the "Who is..?" slideshow and dropbox it before the start of class on Wednesday.
Wednesday, September 16th - Homework - Interest Inventory & Summer Reading due Friday.
Friday, September 18th - Homework - Please complete the Scavenger Hunt if you did not complete it in class. Begin to think about a book that you would like to read for enjoyment. It should be a physical book that you can get a hold of in the next week or two.
