Shannon Mannuccia is a passionate educator and classically trained dancer who has dedicated her career to providing quality dance education to students across the country. Mrs. Mannuccia is a state certified PK-12 Dance educator in the states of New Jersey and Virginia. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Dance from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Education from Old Dominion University, earning top academic honors from both institutions.
Mrs. Mannuccia began dancing at the age of four and has not stopped since. Throughout her many years of study she has had the opportunity to perform with various dance companies, theaters, and teams which included appearances on national television networks such as ESPN, ABC, and CBS.
Her experience as a dance educator includes a wide range of dance education settings, techniques, and topics in dance. This is Mrs. Mannuccia's seventh year in Holmdel teaching both Satz and HHS dance courses. Before her time in Holmdel, Mrs. Mannuccia taught K-8 dance at Alexandria Township Public Schools, as well as high school dance at Hopewell Valley Regional School District and Haddonfield Public Schools. Mrs. Mannuccia is thrilled to continue to share dance will all students in the Holmdel community and is looking forward to another wonderful year.
In addition to teaching in PK-12 schools, Mrs. Mannuccia has held the position of managing director of CORE Academy of Movement, head coach of the Old Dominion Dynasty Dance Team, head coach of many all-star and competition teams where her choreography has won national awards for execution and innovation. Mrs. Mannuccia also shares her dance knowledge and experience as an adjudicator at regional and national dance competitions across the country.
Through student-centered, inclusive, reflective, and interdisciplinary methodologies, Mrs. Mannuccia prides herself in being able to provide the most effective and engaging dance education possible to each and every one of her students.
