U.S. History 2

This course will examine the development of the United States as a global superpower beginning with the progressive era and ending with modern times. Through the examination of many topics including The Great Depression, World War 2, and The Civil Rights Movement, students will begin to understand their roles as citizens of the United States by the end of the course. Through the use of both primary and secondary sources, students will learn about the way in which ordinary people shape history. The course will utilize lessons that allow students to develop their own unique perspectives of our country's history. This approach will facilitate critical thinking skills. Additionally, this course will look to strengthen literacy skills.
