Drawing and Painting includes perceptual and conceptual approaches to drawing and painting; traditional and experimental use of various media and techniques with attention to safety; historical and cultural perspectives on art and artists, theories of art criticism and aesthetics. Pre-requisite of Art 1 – Introduction to 2 and 3 Dimensional Art will be the foundation for this ongoing coursework. Works produced in this course will lead to the creation of portfolio quality works. Sketchbook and other out-of-class work required.
