This introductory, single semester art course expands the previous knowledge and skills taught during the primary years. This course offers experience and information necessary for an understanding and appreciation of the diverse forms of art. Through a series of studio projects involving 2 and 3 dimensional media, audio visual presentations, discussions and critiques, students will broaden their aesthetic awareness, critical thinking skills and a knowledge of materials and processes.
