Created by Learning Matters, this Structured Literacy framework breaks down reading and writing into clear, logical steps. Rather than guessing, our teachers use iDeaL’s diagnostic assessments to guide instruction and ensure students master foundational concepts before moving forward. Learning to read is a team effort! To complement our iDeaL Approach, we use decodable books that match specific sounds taught during our phonics lessons. Accessing these digital readers at home is a fantastic way for whānau to partner with us—helping tamariki practice blending sounds, gain fluency, and celebrate their reading progress together.
