Here is a list of courses offered for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Student Services team will meet with students in the winter to present information on courses available, and instructions on how to choose courses. Students will then complete course selections directly in their PowerSchool account.
HNMCS also holds an interactive course fair in the winter where teachers and our guidance staff share information about the upcoming academic year. At the course fair, students have the opportunity to learn more about opportunities for the years ahead in Senior School.

The Ontario Ministry of Education requires all students in Ontario to complete forty (40) hours of community service as a graduation requirement. Community Service is intended to assist students in developing an understanding of community involvement, social awareness and social and civic responsibility.
At Holy Name of Mary College School, we welcome the opportunity to support our students as they engage in meaningful activities for the benefit of others and for their own self-development. In accordance with the school’s core values, we require students to complete an additional forty (40) service hours throughout their Senior School years, for a total of eighty (80) hours of service from Grade 9-12. Students may complete more hours if desired.
To ensure that your hours are accurately documented, please download, print, and complete this form. Signed forms can be submitted to the Student Information Manager, Ms. Mastromattei. Forms are collected twice per year, Christmas break and Summer Break. Be sure to submit all forms prior to these deadlines.
Also, check out this document for specific information about which types of community experiences are acceptable, and count towards your hours.
In the progress report, your daughter will receive a "V" if they are doing very well, a "W" if they are doing well, and a "D" if they are progressing with difficulty.
