Students on their way to the Washington Monuments for students guided tours.
Here is the Day 1 blog post from D.C.:
After meeting at the airport and passing security, we had a little time to chat and eat some snacks. Mrs. Smith brought new lunchboxes for everyone and fabric markers to personalize them. The students took time to decorate their lunchboxes with their names and colorful designs. The plane ride was smooth, and we were able to catch a train from the Baltimore airport to Union Station in D.C.
We walked to our hotel where Ben Yehuda Pizza was waiting for us. We were very hungry after traveling. Everyone got settled before heading out to walk on the National Mall and see the Washington Monument and the WWII Memorial. We returned to the hotel late but made time to count the Omer with Dahlia Davis before heading off to sleep.
