HLPUSD Teacher Induction Program (TIP) candidate business meetings are conducted periodically throughout the school year (4- 5 meetings) and are facilitated by the induction lead mentors. The purposes of these meetings are as follow:
Information: Information is shared with candidates regarding induction program’s vision and goals. Candidates have the opportunity to discuss induction information with program leader, induction staff, and induction program colleagues.
Reviewing and Informing Progress: Support for candidates in their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is provided as they periodically review and refine the ILP to demonstrate progress towards mastery of the six California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTPs). Candidates receive feedback and guidance on developing evidence of practice.
Celebrating Successes and Acknowledging Challenges: Candidates celebrate their successes and share challenges with their colleagues and induction staff.
Networking and Collaborating: Candidates network with colleagues and share best practices and experiences during their first two years of teaching.
