This year, our students have received notable recognition and awards in the field of interior design and green mechanics. I am proud to share the following achievements which reflects the effectiveness of our STEAM Education:
Our students showcased their exceptional talent and creativity in the field of interior design, resulting in the prestigious Best Interior Design Award in the "Architecture, Interior and Landscape Design Competition 2024." This recognition affirms the effectiveness of our Technology and STEAM education curriculum, especially in the area of 3D design, in nurturing their artistic abilities, design thinking, and attention to detail.
Our students' commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness was demonstrated by their success in the Green Mech Competition 2024. They secured the third prize, showcasing their proficiency in green mechanics and their ability to develop eco-friendly solutions. This accomplishment reflects the comprehensive approach of our STEAM education program, which emphasizes the integration of science, technology, and engineering principles to address real-world environmental challenges.
The exceptional performance of our students in the Green Mech Competition has earned them an invitation to participate in the International competition to be held in August 2024 in Jakarta.
This invitation signifies the recognition of their talent and expertise at an international level. It is a testament to the effectiveness of our STEAM education initiatives and the dedication of our students and our colleagues.
The achievements mentioned above are a result of a comprehensive approach to student empowerment and skill development. The Committee of STEAM Education, the Technology Education Department, the Mathematics Department and the Science Department fostered an environment that encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Here are some key initiatives that contributed to our students' success:
We design our Technology Education Curriculum with interesting practical exercises where students learn to approach problems from a user-centred perspective, fostering their design skills and innovative thinking.
We arranged 3 talks in this academic year which facilitated collaborations with industry professionals and experts to provide our students with invaluable insights, mentorship, and exposure to real-world applications, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
Our Technology education curriculum emphasized project-based learning, enabling students to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical design challenges. This hands-on approach nurtured their problem-solving abilities and honed their technical skills.
To conclude, the recognition received is a testament to the effectiveness of our STEAM education curriculum.
